Safety on PlanetHello

PlanetHello is designed to make conversations easy to start, easy to leave, and easy to report.

Effective Date: July 4, 2026

After every call, you'll have one chance to rate and report the conversation from the post-call rating screen. Reports are reviewed by people on our team, not algorithms.

If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact emergency services right away.

Reporting a Call

After every call, you'll see a post-call rating screen with an option to report the conversation.

Reports can only be submitted immediately after the call ends.

If the call felt unsafe, abusive, threatening, harassing, sexually inappropriate, or clearly wrong, report it.

Helpful reports include:

  • What happened
  • Anything the other person said that concerned you

What Happens After a Report

Reports are connected to the relevant call data and reviewed by PlanetHello's moderation team.

Violations may result in suspension or permanent ban at our sole discretion. Depending on what happened, we may take actions including:

  • A warning
  • A temporary suspension
  • A phone verification requirement
  • An age verification requirement
  • A permanent ban

Serious violations can result in a permanent ban connected to account identifiers such as email and phone number. We also review attempts to return to the platform after a ban.

Your identity as the reporting user is never shared with the reported user.

We do not share the outcome of a report, but every report is reviewed.

If you believe an action taken against your account was applied in error, contact support for review.

If You Need Help Beyond a Report

PlanetHello reports are for platform safety. Some situations need outside support.

If a call brings up self-harm, abuse, sexual assault, domestic violence, child safety, stalking, threats, or immediate danger, use the resources below.

Child Safety

PlanetHello is for adults only. You must be 18 or older to use the platform. We may require age verification at signup or following user reports. Refusing or failing verification results in suspension or termination.

If you believe someone on PlanetHello is under 18, report the account immediately after the call.

When warranted, PlanetHello will report child safety concerns to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) and to law enforcement. Solicitation of commercial sex and any form of sex trafficking are prohibited and will be reported to law enforcement.

You can also report child exploitation concerns directly to NCMEC's CyberTipline at report.cybertip.org or by calling 1-800-THE-LOST.
